L.E.B.F. (KSWP/KAVX) is a Christ-centered, non-profit, listener-supported radio ministry. We are currently two radio stations, KSWP and KAVX.
By being Christ-centered, we concentrate on creating the kind of radio that partners with listeners in touching hearts and lives. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we're allowed to offer our supporters the benefits of tax-deductible giving.
KSWP began in 1982, we've used music and ministry to accomplish God's purposes in the life of this radio station. KAVX began in 1998, we've used teaching, talk programs weekdays and praise, worship music to reach God's purpose for this radio station.
Our vision statement, "Connect people to God, Serve each other for life, and offer hope, joy, and love" to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a joy to work with you and thousands of others to see this vision and mission accomplished. Sharing the Gospel of Christ, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together under His banner, and impacting our community in His name are things we're passionate about.
Another part of our structure we really like is that L.E.B.F./KSWP/KAVX are not part of any one denomination or church. There's not an organization or group of organizations that is responsible for paying our bills. We depend on listeners from many different churches and denominations to keep us operational.
Twice a year, during Sharathon and Friendraiser, we take three days to ask listeners to supply our budget for the next fiscal year. God has been so good to us to provide in this way. We also have businesses and Churches that support us through what is called Underwriting, so we never have to run commercials; we never have to beg for support. Instead, we focus our efforts on doing radio that honors God, and trust Him to take care of the rest through our giving listeners.
L.E.B.F. a ministry of integrity. Our volunteers, board of directors (also volunteers), and staff hold each other to high standards. We are becoming members in good standing of the Evangelical Council on Financial Accountability (ECFA) who annually requires L.E.B.F. to demonstrate the highest standards of board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of financial resources. You can be assured when you trust L.E.B.F./KSWP/KAVX with your financial gifts; we're using them as you would want us to.
